Brede Sørum Quartet

Brede Sørum Quartet is Bredes newest quartet. Spiritual, high-intensity, improvisational music with firm roots in 60s free jazz, but still seeking ahead.

The band has recorded the first album, which will release on Øra Fonogram in may 2024

TOG

Tog is an unstoppable engine, powered by rhythmic

outbursts, crunching riffs, saxophone scurries and wails, the kind of playing that teases and herds

the listener towards an unrelenting frenzy, a breathless sonic assault on the senses.

TOG recently released the album MEGAMAX on Sonic Transmissions, and just completed the release tour.

When I Return

When I Return is a septet led by Brede Sørum and Trombonist Jørgen Bjelkerud. The goal of the band is to make beautiful music filled with motivic collective improvisation. The music is composed by Sørum and Bjelkerud together, which results in a fresh sounds with a lot of similar (and eclectic) references.

When I Return played their debut concert in may 2023.
